What Keeps Us Going

To support our efforts to make the world a better place, we often rely on the generosity and support of our members, volunteers, donors, etc.
Usually these fundraising efforts entail a significant effort by everyone involved. It’s not uncommon for volunteers to have limited time or to be pulled away by life’s demands. But we keep going. We do our best to make a difference. And we do it because we believe in what we do.
One reality we deal with is that the number of registered charities in North America grows every year, which means more and more organizations competing for funding dollars (somewhere around 1.2 million according to the Internal Revenue Service), and that number is steadily increasing.
It’s no secret that funds are tight, yet there is a steady increase in need for what our organization offers.
Couple that with the current economic conditions, where there are well documented billion dollar state budget shortfalls, struggles with getting younger donors to give, and you have a challenging fundraising environment.
